How to Paint Without a Brush
Updated: Mar 30, 2022
Paint pens on wood are freaking awesome.

Before I start this I feel the need to say: I love paint pens. The fact that I can make a sketch with a pencil, and continue in that same manner with a pen filled with acrylic paint, scrawling in shadows and drawing small butterflies into existence is great! That being said, usually you see a lot of blocky pictures done with them. Simple lighting in a small range of colors, since paint colors cover each other up, and it's hard to mix them. Or is it? Don't get me wrong. I love seeing the stylized bold paintings done with paint pens, but I'm not sure if it's what I want to do. Additionally, I don't think it's the only way to use them, and I think this painting proves it. SHOP PENS
